WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the Service Manager you are the operational backbone of our service department. You will lead a skilled team of technicians servicing New Holland, Hyundai Construction, and Toro Commercial Turf equipment, driving both customer satisfaction and department profitability. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends technical oversight with business management.
Schedule, manage, and optimize technician workflows to maximize shop efficiency and minimize overhead across construction equipment service operations
Develop and grow the service business through direct customer outreach, targeted marketing, and Mazergroup preventative maintenance programs
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers — explaining repairs, managing costs, resolving complaints, and recommending value-added services
Create, track, and close service work orders for equipment assembly, pre-delivery inspections, customer repairs, and machine installations on equipment (wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers, tractors, mowers, etc.)
Own department budget and performance — meeting and exceeding financial targets
Co-Chair the dealership Health & Safety Committee and champion a safety-first culture in the shop
Coordinate with the parts department and OEM support teams to ensure timely parts availability and warranty compliance
Support technician training and development, including coordination of OEM certification programs
WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO US?
5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role, ideally in a construction equipment or heavy equipment dealership environment
Journeyperson certification in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (HDET) or Agricultural Equipment Technician (AET) is a strong asset
Solid understanding of construction and turf equipment brands including New Holland, Hyundai Construction Equipment, and Toro is preferred
Strong working knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements
A strong commitment to customer service, with experience in a busy service and sales environment.
The ability to communicate technical information clearly
A keen ability to balance many priorities and see work through to completion.
Familiarity with financial statements and annual budget creation
Solid computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams
Ability to travel 2–3 times per year for company and vendor training sessions
